School of Engineering and Sciences

The School of Engineering and Sciences is responsible for the central administration of all the undergraduate study plans and the coordination of teaching carried out by the academic departments of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile.

The School offers four initial semesters of the "Common Plan" (Plan Común), which produces significant training in basic sciences, making a difference for undergraduate education of future engineers and scientists. By the end of the courses, students may choose from a variety of programs divided into nine specializations of Civil Engineering, Geology, and bachelor degrees in Physics, Astronomy and Geophysics.

All the professionals receive solid scientific training in their first years of the program, armed with the necessary tools to take on large-scale scientific and technological challenges of the 21st century.

The location of the School is in the Central Building (Edificio Central) on Beauchef 850 St, 1st, 2nd and basement floors.
