Master of Arts, Visual Arts
Descripción
The Master of Arts in Visual Arts is a four-semester program that brings together students from the Arts and related disciplines from universities across the country and abroad. Its curriculum is interdisciplinary and focused on artistic creation. The program aims to train highly qualified graduates capable of developing proposals and models for artistic production and creation, demonstrating authority in the use of creative, technical, and conceptual tools.
The program's overall objective is to train graduates who can critically and reflectively engage with the contemporary visual arts scene through proposals and models of creation and production characterized by their authorial style and excellence.
Specific Objectives
- To deepen the development of students' artistic proposals, strengthening their coherence, consistency, and uniqueness, in contact with the plurality of other models linked to the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
- To address the complexities of artistic production from a theoretical perspective and establish a connection with historical, social, aesthetic, and philosophical dimensions, so that students can identify and define their own areas of interest, thereby strengthening their artistic discourse.
- To create a space for reflection and analysis through writing about their own work, which confronts students with diverse models of knowledge belonging to the areas of philosophy, humanities, sciences, and social sciences.
- To develop an original creative proposal that is ready for exhibition, meeting the highest formal standards required for public performance.
