Resumen: Wavefront sensors are at the core of Adaptive Optics systems. Demanding applications, such as the search for exoplanets, require sensors with a wide dynamic range and extreme sensitivity. Deep learning has not only been a magnificent tool to improve the phase estimation process from current wavefront sensors, but is currently inspiring our work to design novel concepts for wavefront sensing exploiting what is known as deep optics. In this talk we revise the evolution of the usage of deep learning for improving and designing wavefront sensors.
