Policy on Research, Artistic Creation and Innovation at the University of Chile
The Policy on Research, Artistic Creation, and Innovation (ICAI) at the University of Chile was approved on March 10, 2022. This proposal was presented by the Teaching and Research Committee of the University Senate, in collaboration with the Vice-Rectory for Research, Development, and Innovation (VID).
The main objective of the ICAI Policy is to project research, artistic creation, and innovation developed at the institution in the long term. To this end, the policy establishes an institutional framework that strengthens these areas within the university, setting forth a series of guidelines and perspectives to ensure a coherent and consistent approach to academic work, in line with the needs of the country. The document also addresses inclusion and promotes inter- and transdisciplinary interaction among researchers and with the community as one of its core principles.
The ICAI Policy reflects the institution's commitment to society, collaborative work, academic development, integration, institutional strengthening, management improvement, gender perspective, ethics and integrity in research processes, equity, and diversity. It also provides guidelines on funding and infrastructure.
