About Agrotecnio:
Agrotecnio is a research center of excellence in plant, environmental, animal and food sciences with the mission to carry out fundamental research underpinning translational strategic objectives and to disseminate the findings and outputs from its research activities to society at large, including the private sector (www.agrotecnio.org ). The operational objectives of the new Strategic Plan 2024-2029 of the center mandate the recruitment of highly-qualified personnel to reinforce the current research lines of Agrotecnio. Furthermore, the center also seeks to recruit personnel in additional complementary disciplines such as agricultural economics, sociology or governance, related to agrifood, among others, in order to address the complexities of the agrifood value chain in its broadest sense.
We seek dynamic and motivated individuals, with demonstrable ability to lead their own research lines. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of four year´s of national and/or international postdoctoral experience.
Position Description:
Successful candidates will develop an independent research program addressing ambitious research questions in agrifood-related areas. While we prioritize expertise aligned with the research lines described in the strategic plan of AT (https://tinyurl.com/mryxr6pr), we also welcome applications from exceptional candidates from other agrifood-related areas. Applicants must demonstrate a strong track record of research accomplishments and possess the foresight to pioneer innovative projects in research and technology transfer, aimed at tackling present and future challenges in agrifood research.
Requirements:
- Postdoctoral experience in one or more agrifood related fields (in its broadest sense)
- Demonstrated research excellence.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Leadership capacity.
- Commitment to excellence in translational research.
What Agrotecnio offers:

- Gross salary between 40.000 – 55.000 euros/year depending on qualifications and experience.
