Seminario Extraordinario DAS: High energy emission from accreting white dwarfs

Abstract: Binary systems that host an accreting white dwarf display a variety of phenomena in a broad range of wavelengths, either during quiescence or eruptive phases. In this talk I'll discuss the recent progress in our study of these objects with high energy instruments, in X-rays and Gamma-rays, focusing on those binaries that experienced some eruption in the last few years.
