Verificaciones de títulos profesionales y grados académicos

La Prorrectoría de la Universidad de Chile dispone de los siguientes servicios de verificaciones de títulos profesionales y grados académicos para estudiantes, egresados, empresas, agencias internacionales y otros organismos.

- Verificaciones de títulos profesionales y grados académicos obtenidos, revalidados, reconocidos o convalidados por la Universidad de Chile, que son solicitados por diferentes personas naturales (distintas al titular del título o grado), organismos públicos y/o empresas nacionales o extranjeras.
- Certificado para continuar postgrados en el extranjero. Los profesionales egresados de la Universidad de Chile que postulan a Postgrados en el extranjero, solicitan un documento que certifique que su título y/o grado lo habilita para continuar estudios de postgrado en el país, lo que comprende programas de magíster y doctorado, de conformidad con lo establecido en el artículo 54 del decreto con fuerza de ley N°2, de 2009, del Ministerio de Educación.
- Certificado de carácter terminal. Los profesionales que han obtenido una Licenciatura requieren un documento que certifique que su grado obtenido en la Universidad de Chile posee la calidad de “Licenciatura de carácter terminal”, es equivalente a título profesional para todos los efectos legales.
- Certificado de calidad de título. Se certifica la calidad de los títulos técnicos que se conferían en la Universidad de Chile, con anterioridad a la década de los ’80. Éstos son solicitados por los interesados con el fin de obtener “asignación profesional”, si corresponde.
- Certificado de Personalidad Jurídica. Documento solicitado a profesionales egresados de la Universidad de Chile, generalmente para la obtención de visas de trabajo, entre otras. En el documento se certifica que la Universidad de Chile se encuentra reconocida oficialmente en virtud de lo establecido en el Decreto con Fuerza de Ley N° 2, de 2009, del Ministerio de Educación.
De acuerdo a la Resolución Exenta N°0453, de 2022, el arancel de estos certificados, para la anualidad 2023, asciende a $10.000.- o su equivalente en moneda extranjera. Lo anterior, sin perjuicio ley N°21.398, que modificó la Ley del Consumidor, disponiendo que los certificados señalados serán gratuitos para los alumnos(as), exalumnos(as), o aquellos(as) que hayan suspendido sus estudios o se encuentren morosos, hasta por dos veces en el año calendario en total, contando cualquiera de los respectivos certificados.

The Office of the President of the University of Chile offers the following services for the verification of professional titles and academic degrees for students, graduates, companies, international agencies, and other organizations.

- Verification of professional titles and academic degrees obtained, revalidated, recognized, or validated by the University of Chile, which are requested by different natural persons (other than the holder of the title or degree), public bodies, and/or national or foreign companies.
- Certificate to continue postgraduate studies abroad. The professionals who graduated from the University of Chile who apply for postgraduate studies abroad, request a document that certifies that their title and/or degree enables them to continue postgraduate studies in the country, which includes master and doctorate programs, in accordance with the provisions of Article 54 of the decree with the force of law No. 2, 2009, of the Ministry of Education.
- Terminal certificate. Professionals who have obtained a Bachelor's degree require a document certifying that their degree received at the University of Chile has the quality of a "terminal Bachelor's degree", which is equivalent to a professional degree for all legal purposes.
- Certificate of degree quality. This certifies the quality of the technical degrees that were conferred at the University of Chile prior to the 1980s. These are requested by the interested parties in order to obtain "professional assignment", if applicable.
- Certificate of Legal Personality. The document requested professionals who graduated from the University of Chile, generally to obtain work visas, among others. The document certifies that the University of Chile is officially recognized under the Decree with Force of Law No. 2 of 2009 of the Ministry of Education.
According to the Exempt Resolution N°0453, of 2022, the fee for these certificates, for the year 2023, amounts to $10.000 CLP.- or the equivalent in foreign currency. This is without prejudice to Law N°21.398, which modified the Consumer Law, providing that the certificates above will be free of charge for students, former students, or those who have suspended their studies or are in arrears, up to two times in the calendar year in total, counting any of the respective certificates.
