Descripción

Master in Operations Management (MGO in Spanish) aims to train excellent graduates in operations research, who could face complex operations management problems, integrating mathematical, economic and technological tools.

This program prepares students to hold top positions on service and manufacturing companies, where logistics, operations and planning are important in its strategy. Due to their solid training in methodological contents, graduates could also continue PhD studies.

Master in Operations Management is imparted by academic members known worldwide who are part of operations management area and operations research of Industrial Engineering Department of Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics of University of Chile. In addition, academic members from different departments of this faculty take part in this master program.

Academic members possess a great experience in mining and forest planning projects, public services and service and manufacturing companies. Also, their work has been recognized with important distinctions.

This master program has more than 120 graduates who work for important and top service and manufacturing companies. They also work as researchers and academic members and a great number of these professionals do PhD programs in important and well-known international universities, such as MIT and Princeton, among others.

Requisitos de Admisión

Students wishing to apply for Master programs offered by the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, University of Chile must have a bachelor or a professional degree in a similar area, granted by a national or international university certifying a solid background in the specific area of the Master program. The Academic Committee of the program will review each application taking into account all the required background.

Applicants have to submit all their educational records at the moment of applying. Some of them are:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Application Form
  • Transcript of records of the previous courses and their programs in case they come from other national or international universities.
  • Bachelor's or professional diploma
  • A letter of intention, and at least two letters of recommendation.
